Program Director

What they do
The Program Director manages all Unleashed Crew and the overarching travel program. To ensure everything's running smoothly and meets our expectations, they work closely with accommodation staff and suppliers. It is our goal that all Unleashed Crew and travellers enjoy their memorable trip and have a great time.

Requirements
This role is for someone who has years of experience working on a destination and is familiar with the ins and outs of the Unleashed program, its specifications and details. For this reason, it is usually taken by our most senior Unleashed Crew.

The Program Director has concluded or is in the process of completing a college or university degree. They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. We look highly upon individuals who are a past Unleashed passengers.

Airport Coordinator

What they do
This is a multifaceted role but the main responsibilities of the Airport Coordinator are to make sure all travellers feel safe and confident at the airport, and travellers are directed to where they should be. Airport Coordinators will help travellers check in to their flight and take them through the customs gate at all major airports.

For travel groups that have a connecting flight at a major airport, the Airport Coordinator will meet them and ensure they get on the correct flight. For travellers with a layover, the coordinator will accompany them to their accommodation and ensure everyone is organised for their next flight.

This role is for someone who has concluded or is in the process of completing a college or university degree. They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. We look highly upon individuals who are past Unleashed passengers.

Medical Coordinator

What they do
The Medical Coordinator is responsible for making sure Unleashed’s medical procedures and standards are followed accordingly. They have a good working relationship with the clinic and local hospitals, who they communicate with frequently. This role is the point of contact for any medical issues that occur during travels.

Requirements
This role is for someone who has concluded or is in the process of completing nursing or paramedic qualifications. They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. We look highly upon individuals who are past Unleashed passengers.

Hotel Coordinator

What they do
The Hotel Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the trip program runs smoothly, including all excursions, activities, events, and volunteer projects. They manage and support all crew members during the whole travel experience to make sure everything goes to plan. This role is responsible for the safety of both travellers and Unleashed crew during the entire trip. They are also responsible for all traveller-related conduct, included any traveller discipline that may occur from breaches to the Unleashed Code.

Requirements
The Hotel Coordinator role is usually held by the most senior Crew at Unleashed.

This role is for someone who has concluded or is in the process of completing a college or university degree. They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. We look highly upon individuals who are past Unleashed passengers.

Activities Crew - Team Leader

What they do
The Activities Crew Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all on-site activities crew follow a strict schedule for the whole day. They will create daily schedules for the team and make sure that the team is present across the whole resort, on excursions, at night events, and during day activities.

They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. Night Crew - Team Leader

What they do
The Night Crew Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all night crew follow a strict schedule for the whole night, every night. They will create daily schedules for the team and make sure that the team is present across the whole resort, working with security, the resort staff and the medical coordinator ensuring that all night events run safely and successfully.

They would have a background working with youth in leadership roles such as Uni or orientation leader, residence advisor, or coach and camp counsellor. They are outgoing, friendly and responsible, and is comfortable working long hours and evening shifts to supervise travellers during trips. Crew Members

What they do
The “Crew” can be found in the most populated areas where travellers are situated, to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves and safe. The Crew guide travellers from their departure point to their destination. They help at the destination with all activities, excursions, and parties. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment throughout the trip, this role gives travellers information on the area and activity briefings. They make sure that everyone is a happy traveller and enjoying their #TripofaLifetime with new and existing lifelong friends.

Media Crew

What they do
Each location has a designated Media crew member whose primary function will be to take photos, and video and upload to social media inline with a predetermined social media schedule. They will also be responsible for all media equipment and collection of video and images from student guests.

Office Crew

What they do
The Office Crew are a key group of individuals that aid with the execution of every program, by remaining in a centralized location (Head office - Sydney). They are the main connection between the Destination Crew and our off-site suppliers, parents, and/or other programs occurring during the same dates. Furthermore, they are responsible for booking last minute trips, changing itineraries, dealing with cancellations, and relaying emergency messages from Australia to our passengers and Crew.

Emergency Line

A 24/7 emergency line available during all travel periods, for parents and guardians to get in touch with Unleashed Office Crew. This is the fastest way to reach any traveller or crew member during trips, as the Unleashed Grad Trips head office is in regular contact with all senior staff on-site.

Operations Desk

Located in Sydney, Australia, The Unleashed Grad Trips Operations Desk, is managed by the Operations team throughout all travel periods. They are the support system to the entire on-site team for any concerns and issues they may have. Calls with the senior team are held daily to provide updates to head office on Happy Traveller ratings, and ensure all trips are running as per expectations.

Security

At Unleashed, your safety and security is important to us. Our senior team meets with all accommodation security managers and security teams hired by the accommodation to brief them on our standards. If there are any issues, our crew are immediately informed by security who take any concerns seriously.

Hotel Clinic Staff

We collaborate with local Hotel Clinic Staff to make sure that on-site nurses & doctors are present at the resort, or are close so that they can respond quickly in the case of a medical emergency.

Photographer

We’ll be there to capture the best moments and highlights from your Grad Trip, with a professional photographer on-hand at all day activities, night events and other excursions. They’ll lend a helping hand to Crew by assisting with any daily tasks, too.

Excursion Operator

All excursion operators are evaluated and reviewed so that they meet the Unleashed Grad Trips standards of excellence. They are also supported by the Unleashed team in order to carry out exciting, safe activities for travellers outside of the resorts.

Hotel Staff

S-Trip! only uses resorts that meet our Standards of Excellence, and reviews all resort partners after every trip.

Who Are The Unleashed Grad Trips Crew

Passionate about youth and travel

Every year we choose 55 travel veterans out of hundreds of applicants (including our own past travellers), who are usually grounded in skills such as teaching, coaching, student leadership and event planning.

The Screening Process

We only choose the best, which is why just 25% of applicants pass our full screening process. Throughout the year, our talent team evaluates applications using our specialised screening process:

  5. Crew code of conduct assessment
  6. Background check

Crew Placement

We carefully consider the matching process of Crew to the right groups of travellers for each trip, taking the following factors into account:

Personality
All Crew fill out a personality test during leadership training. Identifying their strengths and weaknesses help us build balanced teams.

Unleashed Grad Trips Travel Experience
Working in the same destination gives our Crew the opportunity to become experts in the area, as well as getting the chance to form lifelong relationships.

Seniority
We ensure that each trip has a mix of both returning and new Crew.

Crew Rating
All Crew are assessed and rated based on their on-site performance. Accordingly, Crew with the highest ratings are given priority on every trip.

Training & Certification

There is a compulsory specialised training and certification process for all Crew, where they learn how to deliver an enjoyable yet safe #TripofaLifetime.

Expectations for Unleashed Crew:

Unleashed Crew do:
  • Accompany students throughout the travel transfer process
  • Make themselves available at all times including throughout activities, excursions, & events by roaming the resort and being clearly visible to all travellers
  • Coordinate all medical emergencies including escorting travellers to clinics and contacting parents or guardians
  • Make themselves reachable via reception during the night in the case of an emergency
  • Upon arrival, perform extensive briefings and outline the Unleashed Code of Conduct to make sure a fun and safe Grad Trip is experienced
  • Contact parents when there is a breach to the Unleashed Code of Conduct
  • Remove offenders that pose a threat to themselves or other travellers
  • Make sure passports are checked upon arrival to ensure age appropriate wristbands are provided
  • Conduct bag checks with hotel management on arrival to make sure no duty-free alcohol is brought into the resort
  • Work with hotel management staff to remove alcohol from gift shops and for mini marts to minimise access for purchasing excess alcohol
Unleashed Crew do not:
  • Know the precise whereabouts of every traveler 24/7
  • Watch or supervise individual travelers unless it is related to an incident
  • Enter the rooms of travelers, unless in the case of an emergency
  • See all behaviors of travelers or be present 24/7 to help curb actions or language
  • Smell drinks for alcohol
  • Supervise all bar staff at all times
  • Guarantee travelers will not get access to drinks from other guests
  • Guarantee that travelers will not have contact with alcohol

Expectations for Travelers, and Parents:

Expectations of parents:
  • Sit down with the graduate traveller and read the Unleashed Code of Conduct
  • Set expectations of behaviour

For example, if your child was having a Friday night out, have a mature discussion about decisions your child may face on Grad Trip and in a few months when they are at TAFE or university.

Expectations of Travelers:
  • Behave maturely and treat others with respect
  • Be responsible for your personal actions
  • Be safe and responsible in the water and at all times
  • If you're aged over 18, please drink responsibly
  • Respect Unleashed crew and hotel staff
  • Problems are brought to the attention of a team member who are ready to help
  • You’ll have a fun and safe adventure on Grad Trip if you can be smart and safe at home on a Friday night out
