European Winter Wonderland

So you’ve booked your European adventure for schoolies but you’ve kind of never left the country before without the parentals. This is kind of a big deal guys, this is your first taste of freedom!

This 22 day adventure will open your eyes to the wonder of Europe and with no doubt you’ll want to head back over in no time.

Your adventure begins in London town, where you will enjoy a city tour. You can immerse yourself in this enchanting city by jumping on an iconic double decker bus, getting a photo in the classic red telephone booth, checking out Big Ben, The London Eye and The London Tower, Brick Lane Market to name just a few of the places you can explore in London.

Once you have explored the sites of London you will be hoping on a boat and heading across the English Channel and making your way over to sweet Paris. You will begin your evening by enjoying dinner at a french restaurant where snails and french onion soup are on the menu! The group will then enjoy a guided tour of the ‘City of Lights’ where you will see the city of love lit up and you’ll see the magic of this place as you basque in sites like the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde and the River Seine.

You will then have a free day in Paris to explore. We suggest checking out the Louvre where you will come face to face with Mona Lisa, see a Cabaret Show at the historic Moulin Rouge, take a bike ride through Paris pick up some wine, brie and bread and have a picnic on the grassy knolls of the Sacre Coeur Basilica and visit the Catacombs of Paris.

It’s time to trade in Parisian Streets for snowy peaks. Welcome to the Swiss Alps which is home to the highest point in Europe. The Swiss Alps are truly breathtaking especially in winter, where the mountains are covered in snow, making it the perfect snap to capture for your instagram feed.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore this stunning place whether that be through scenic hikes or jump on board the Jungfraubahn railway for an optional visit to the Jungfrau Mountain summit.

Next up Florence. But first you’ll make a quick stop to the Leaning Tower of Pisa to take THAT shot before making your way through the stunning Tuscan countryside to Florence, the home of Renaissance art, gold & silver markets and amazing food. Once you have arrived you will be heading out to a group dinner where you’ll get to taste traditional Italian food which is so fresh and delicious, match it with a glass of chianti and you’re set for a night in Florence!

The next day you’ll get to roam freely through Florence where you can use this time to meet a dude named David doing his best Blue Steel in the Accademia Gallery or perhaps just take a stroll through the streets and see where it leads you… Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria or it may lead you to the famous Florence leather goods.

When in Rome they say…It’s time to step back to 753 BC. Pass by the Pantheon, throw your two cents in the Trevi Fountain, sit on the Spanish Steps and basque in the delights of people watching or release your inner gladiator as you visit the Colosseum. The next day you get to explore this mesmerizing city where you can take a guided tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s incredible frescores. Carpe Diem!

Next stop, Venice! But before we arrive at the floating city, you will have the opportunity to get romantic as we make our way through Verona, the setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, where we visit Juliet’s Balcony. Now, time for Venice to check out St. Mark’s Square, Accademia Bridge and a who’s who of Venice’s usual suspects on a guided walking tour then jump on a vaporetto and explore the Grand Canal.

Ok it’s time to get nostalgic people, ‘the hills are alive!’ Welcome to Austria, Salzburg, the home of the Sound of Music and amazing bloody scenery! You’ll enjoy a walking tour with one of your awesome Unleashed Crew to the Salzburg Castle, Mozart’s Birthplace, Salzburg Cathedral and more. Then you will enjoy a delicious Austrian feast and then wash it all down with a nice cold beer from a local brewery. Now it’s time to pick your adventure! You can choose from canyoning, tandem paragliding, skydiving or biking here.

It’s time to suss out the castle deemed worthy by Guinness World Records as being the largest ancient castle in the world… Yes people, we are in Prague! Where you’ll get to set out on foot through the cobbled streets to visit the memorable Charles Bridge, the Tyn Church which above sits the Astronomical Clock. This clock is over 600 years old! Once you have taken in the sites of Prague, it’s time to hit the town and experience Prague’s famous nightlife.

Get your taste buds ready because it’s pints and schnitzels from here on out...We’re heading to Berlin, Germany where currywurst, pilsner and more hipsters are located per capita than anywhere else.

Take a walk along the Berlin Wall which once served as a dividing line between East and West Berlin for 28 years. This is now a symbol of freedom. Go in search of street art! Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is one of the best out there and make sure to check out the epic Berlin nightlife which is rated one of the best in the world.

It’s time to put your best foot forward… We have entered the ‘Dam where bicycles, clogs, tulips and the infamous red light district live side by side in harmony. Before we hit up the red light district we make a quick stop at a traditional farm to see how dutch cheese and clogs are made. Then we’re off to the Amsterdam square to explore the red light district. You will then have a free day to explore the sights, you could even hire a bike and take a ride around the streets, visit to Anne Frank House, Van Gogh or Rijksmuseum. 

That’s a wrap kids! We’re back in London town for one last hoorah!
